Book Buddies

How do we build friendships at KRCS? It's as easy as reading a picture book. Mrs. Denard's Fourth Grade class visited Mrs. Dickey's First Graders this morning.

Within 15 minutes, we had hugs and giggles being shared, not to mention a room full of readers. Tripp met First Grader John today during book buddies. John and his brother are new to KR, and he explained that he loves "everything" about KR. Book Buddies are super fun, and he likes hanging out with the big kids. Many of our teachers reach out to other grades to build the foundation of leadership, bonding, and faith integration. Tripp pointed out to John that on the 7th day, the character in the book rested, just as our Lord did. What a great moment.
