Makerspace

A room designed specifically for creating, exploring, building, and engineering, King's Ridge Christian School has taken one of their classrooms and transformed it into the "Makerspace".

As with everything in life, education must keep up with the changing needs and demands of the world around us. You may have heard of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). By adding an "A" to the acronym, we bring Art into the learning experience.

The Lower School's Makerspace works with the STEAM theory. Our students have the freedom to come in before the bell rings and explore. This room contains supplies ranging from computers the students can take apart and reassemble, to wood, nails, and hammers, pipe cleaners, cardboard, blocks, and magnets. These are just some of the supplies in the room, to give you an idea of the range of materials.

There is no doubt the students enjoy visiting the Makerspace.  They are proud to show and share their creations with family and staff.  Our Makerspace addition has broadened the learning experience with creativity for our students.
